This well- worn 1970’s home on a peaceful body of water was acquired by the new owners who wished to fulfill their dream of living in a contemporary home on the water complete with a dock for their boat. The water side of the home was transformed by adding a transparent wall of glass windows and doors, connecting the inside and outside spaces of the home for both daily living and entertaining. New landscaping and design enhanced the indoor-outdoor experience for all occasions. The street side of the home was updated with nautical grace notes including teak siding, a round porthole-like window in the new front door and a brass ship’s rail accent above the entry. New lighting highlights both street and water-sides of the home to create an inviting ambience for family and guests.
